Renting & access

How do I rent a unit?

Online, in minutes. Pick your size, sign the rental agreement and pay from your phone or computer using the Rent Online button. There's no office visit and no waiting; your gate code and unit number arrive as soon as you're done.

Can I look at a unit before I rent?

Yes. Call (989) 342-3711 and we'll do it over the phone: we open the gate for you remotely and give you the combination so you can look inside the unit.

What are the gate hours?

The gate is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You enter your personal code at the keypad; the property has two gates.

Is there an office on site?

No. We're a contactless facility: you rent, pay and access your unit entirely online. Phone hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.

What lock do I need?

A disc combination lock is included on every unit (if a lock isn't on it yet, you'll find a zip tie). You're welcome to use your own lock instead. If you use ours, it stays with the unit when you move out.

Payments & billing

How do I pay?

Online through the Pay Online button, any time. You can set up automatic payments so you never miss a due date. Some promotions require autopay.

When is rent due?

On the same day each month as your move-in date (anniversary billing). If you moved in on the 12th, rent is due on the 12th.

Is there a fee for paying by credit card?

Starting October 1, 2026, credit card payments carry a 2.84% surcharge, which is not more than our cost of acceptance and is shown as a separate line on your receipt. There's no surcharge on debit cards, ACH, checks or money orders. A returned ACH payment is a $25 fee.

What if I pay late?

A 20% late fee applies once rent is more than 5 days past due. If something comes up, call us before the grace period ends; when we hear from you first, we work with you.

Is there a minimum stay?

No. Rent month to month for as long as you need.

How do I move out?

Give us 2 weeks' notice before you leave, remove everything, and leave the unit broom-swept. That's all it takes to get your security deposit back.

Units & what fits

What unit sizes do you have?

5x5, 5x10, 10x10, 10x15, 10x20, 10x25, 10x30, 12x25, 12x30 and 12x55. Not sure what you need? Use our size guide to see what fits in each one.

Do you have RV, boat or trailer storage?

Yes. Our 12x55 units have 14-foot chain-hoist doors and are built for campers, boats on trailers and enclosed trailers. See photos.

Are the units climate controlled?

No. All of our units are standard drive-up units.

Do any units have power?

Yes. Select units include an electrical outlet and lighting. Ask when you rent.

Rules & insurance

Do I need insurance?

Yes, insurance on your stored belongings is required. It's billed with your rent and isn't discounted by promotions.

What can't I store?

Anything hazardous or flammable (gasoline, propane, paint thinner, fireworks), anything perishable, live animals or plants, and anything illegal. Vehicles must be in running condition and insured. If you're not sure about an item, call us before you move it in.

Is the property secure?

Yes. The property is fully fenced and gated with keypad entry, monitored by 24/7 video surveillance, and every unit is drive-up with its own lock. We've built it to be the cleanest, safest storage in Oscoda.

Can I use a unit for my business?

Business customers are welcome; just tell us what kind of business will be using the unit. Units are for storage only: no selling goods from the unit and no running a repair or maintenance shop out of it (working on your own personal projects is fine).
